Optimizing Processes for UCPath Transactions

Goals

  • Align UC Berkeley processes with the UCPath system and address process challenges that stem directly from implementing a new system of this magnitude, as well as address longstanding issues that are now highlighted by the system and needs to be reworked

  • Create and maintain clear, consistent, and efficient business processes to help ensure timely and error-free management of the UC Berkeley workforce

Approach

  • Identify local processes leading up to or arising from UCPath that need to be defined or improved, and design processes or implement improvements as needed

  • Conduct inventory of documented local processes leading up to and arising from UCPath, create or update processes as needed, and identify or confirm process owners as needed

  • Identify and implement improvements to how UCPath-related process documents are made available to stakeholders at UC Berkeley

  • Identify and implement improvements to how UCPath-related process changes are communicated to UC Berkeley stakeholders
